HISTRHONE is based upon historical research from climate and environment historians, Georges PICHARD et Emeline ROUCAUTE, who have identified for several years a very large volume of historical, administrative, technical and scientific archives about rhodanian hydro-climatic events in the Rhône valley.
From 2011 to 2014, the Imagery and Geomatic service (SIGéo) of the CEREGE has elaborated this database to organize a very large volume of informations and to offer a public web-based interface with a cartographic representation of the informations.
